A BILL to amend article two, chapter thirty-nine of the code of
West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as
amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated section
six, relating to recordation of corrections made to county
indices.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That article two, chapter thirty-nine of the code of West
Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, be
amended by adding thereto a new section, designated section six,
to read as follows:
ARTICLE TWO. GENERAL INDEX AND PRESERVATION OF RECORDS.
ยง39-2-6. Records of county commissions, correction recordation.
Every clerk of a county commission shall establish a system
which will permanently record any corrections made to any index
under his or her care, custody and control. Such recordation of
correction shall include the date such correction was made.

(NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to require county clerks
to permanently record corrections to indices and date same.)
